Exotic Mediterranean Beach Inspiration

Oct 17, 2016 | Themes

Amid the clear, warm waters of the Mediterranean coastline, lie the beautiful Bograshov and Frishman beaches of Tel Aviv. Named for the downtown streets they lie between, these Israeli beaches offer wide stretches of sandy shoreline, warm salty waters, and very romantic sunsets. Designer and florist Maria Golubentseva, of Melanie Wedding Studio collaborated with photographer Aleksandra Bukhareva to coordinate a last-minute shoot at this beautiful spot. “At the end of our trip to Israel, we decided to film a décor shoot on the Mediterranean coast for our charming couple, Roman and Sandra.”

The beach!..Mediterranean beaches are known for their intrinsic beauty, and those in Tel Aviv consistently rank among the ten best in the world.

The bride’s dress…This lovely gown by Sacha Grebneva is dressy without being overly formal. The beaded appliques are sweet and dainty…and we love how the gown naturally flows on the sand.

The bride’s headpiece…so light and delicate, keeping her ensemble elegant but beach-perfect. We especially love how beautiful the headpiece looked when Sandra took the pins out of her glamorous updo and let her hair fall naturally on her shoulders.

The bouquet…No infusion of color here, just the organic beauty of olive branches. A perfect choice for an elegant beach wedding, and would make great centerpieces as well. Add a handful to clear trumpet vases, or simply lay them on the table in between place settings. Compliment the tablescape with large sand dollars for an added touch.

The Bride’s tattoos…Yeah, we think they’re pretty cool, and she wears them well!

We have quoted Maria throughout the article….Enjoy!

“As an alternative to the traditional floral bridal bouquet, we selected olive tree branches to highlight the beauty of the setting. Natural texture with simple and natural details are the perfect complement to the muted palette of the sunset.”

“We did not want to overload the design with saturated colors; we used a regal palette in shades of blue, underlining the beauty and pristine nature of the beach setting.”
